Claudette Colbert was born Emilie Claudette Chauchoin on September 13, 1903 in Saint-Mandé, Val-de-Marne, France. She was an actress, and a leading lady for two decades. She is the daughter of Jeanne Loew Chauchoin and Georges Claude Chauchoin.

Claudette Colbert's passion showed that she really loves to be a part of the acting industry, wherein after her formal education, she enrolled directly in the Art Students League, in which she paid for her dramatic trianing by working in a dress shop. With the help of these things, Colbert has made her first ever Broadway debut in the stage production entitled "The Wild Wescotts", in which this is the time that she adopted the name Claudette Colbert. All of her notable films were widely known to be a box-office hits, this includes Cleopatra, in which she portrayed the said role very enticing. In this movie, she had her greatest triumph in playing a runaway heiress, with enormous charm, for which she was blessed by garnering the title of the Academy Award as Best Actress. Due to Colbert's keen ability in business turned her in becoming the highest paid star in the history of Hollywood.

Aside of being an actress, Colbert gives interest in the field of artistry, wherein she loves paint memorable things and events. She had a mutual interest in art with Verna Hull who was known to be a wealthy paitner and at the same time a photographer.
